Paragraph 6-7 C 6 Completion of work.a) Notification. The contractor shall provide prompt written notification to the HA when all work is completed. A final inspection shall be made when all work is completed. Until the final inspection has been made, the HA shall not advance any of the retainage or make the final payment to the contractor.
b) Final Inspection.
c) Post inspection meeting. The inspection team shall meet after completing the final inspection to determine whether:Upon receipt of the contractor's notification of the date when the work has been completed, the HA shall conduct a final inspection within 10 calendar days. The HA shall notify HUD of the scheduled inspection date. The final inspection shall be conducted by:
- a HA representative
- the HA architect (where applicable)
- a contractor representative
- a HUD representative (HUD is required to participate in the final inspection where the per unit modernization cost exceeds $10,000.)
- the work has been completed in accordance with he construction documents;
- there are any minor items of incomplete or unsatisfactory work
AND
- reach agreement on the items to be included on the HA's or its architects final punch list;
OR
- there are any major deficiencies which must be corrected by the contractor so that another final inspection can be made before contract settlement.
